El Programa Hispano Católico (EPHC) is seeking a Full-Time SUN Site Manger! Under the general supervision of the SUN Program Manager, the Site Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the SUN (Schools Uniting Neighborhoods) Community School program at their given location. SUN is a partnership between Multnomah County, the School District, and El Programa Hispano Católico. In collaboration with the school principal, staff, and family leadership team and community, the Site Manager will develop school-based programs addressing academics, enrichment, and recreation; develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with school staff; work with school staff to ensure that programming is linked to academic curriculum; coordinate and facilitate recruitment and supervision of activity instructors; coordinate a system to ensure access to County-funded and community services; develop and maintain relationships with local community providers; ensure that core services are culturally responsive to meet the needs of students and the larger Latinx population.

Qualifications:

  • Must be bilingual (Spanish/English) and bi-culturally competent, and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Bachelor's degree in public service, social work, education, or related field or similar field.
  • Experience working with middle school land/or elementary aged Latinx children and families.
  • Budget oversight experience preferred.
  • Supervision of personnel experience required.
  • Must be able to organize/prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, follow through, and have a high attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and in team setting; adapt well to dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which include some evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to support organizational and program specific mission and goals.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Must have driver's license, access to vehicle and automobile insurance at levels required by agency (100/300/100).
  • Satisfactory results from criminal background check required

Essential Duties:

  • Design and implement the SUN Community School Extended-Day and Summer programming at the assigned school, aligning services of community partners, school-led and SUN activities into a one comprehensive model.
  • Develop culturally diverse core services to address academic, enrichment, recreation, leadership and social service needs.
  • Build, strengthen, and maintain strong professional relationships with school administration, community partners, and the community
  • Provide information and system navigation support to students and families about how to access services and resources needed to meet their individual household needs.
  • Lead outreach efforts to inform youth and families about services and community resources, including EPHC specific services, including at least 3 events per year.
  • Recruit students for SUN extended-day programs, and families for adult programming.
  • Manage budget for program expenditures at their specified site.
  • Provide direct supervision to Extended Day Coordinators and staff assigned at school site
  • Collaborate with the Hunger Relief Specialist in the coordination and operation of Food Pantries and/or Food Markets .
  • Organize and maintain records, documentation, and reports as required by agency, partners and funders, including use of Salesforce and ServicePoint.

COMPENSATION: Annual Salary of $40,000-$41,600, DOE.
